【SS】戻れない

全員が渡り終えると、綱は切られた。
吊り橋とともに敵の幾人かが奈落の底に落ちてゆく。

「もう戻れない。我々は前に進むしかないのだ」
崖に背を向け、長老は厳かに言った。

だが、長老は一歩も進むことができなかった。

深いしわが刻まれた顔をゆがめ、口から血を吐き　
そのまま前のめりに倒れたのだ。

その背に矢が刺さっていた。

別天地での最初の仕事が墓掘りとは不吉である。
だが、深く掘ってやる余裕はなかった。

新しい長老には私が選ばれた。
他は若者と子どもばかりである。

私は皆に言わなければならない。
できるだけ厳かに聞こえるよう、願いながら。

「もう戻れない。我々は前に進むしかないのだ」

We Can Not Return

The rope was cut when everyone passed.

Along with the suspension bridge,
some enemies fall to the bottom of the abyss.

"We can not return anymore.
We can only move forward."

The elder turned to the cliff and said solemnly.

But the elder could not go one step further.

He distorted his deep wrinkled face,
exhaled blood from his mouth,
and fell to the front.

An arrow was stuck on his back.

It is unwise that
the first job in another world is tomb digging.

However, we could not afford to dig deeper.

I was chosen to be the new elder.
Others are only young people and children.

I have to tell everyone.
While wishing to sound as solemnly as possible.

"We can not return anymore.
We can only move forward."
