【SS】運動会

さりげなく空は晴れていた。

それらしい校舎の前にはグラウンドがあり　
運動着姿の少年少女たちがいる。

運動会であることを疑う理由はない。

「みんな呼んでる。早く行こう」
ひとりの少年が走り出した。

それを同級生たちが追いかけてゆく。
ひとりぼっちになっていた。

ひとり遅れてグラウンドの土を踏む。
グラウンドの両サイドには人垣があった。

こちら側は赤い帽子を全員かぶっている。
おそらく赤組という集団であろう。

向こう側の白っぽい人垣は白組に違いない。

赤組のすぐ近くの芝生に腰をおろす。
ブルマー姿の少女たちが立っている。

見覚えのある少女が話しかけてきた。
「いままでどこにいたの？」

そういえば、どこにいたのだろう。
「さあ、思い出せない」

少女は呆れて、少女らしい呆れ顔をする。
まわりの少女たちも寄ってきた。

「どうしたの？」
「こいつ、おかしいんだよ」

「あら、もともとじゃない」
「ひどい。それって」

少女たちは笑う。
みんなとてもかわいいな、と思う。

でも、一番好きな少女の姿はない。
あの子は白組にいるのかもしれない。

もっとも彼女は話しかけてくれない。
こちらからも話しかけたりしない。

黙って芝生に寝転ぶ。
空を見上げれば、白い雲が浮かんでる。

そのまま目を閉じる。
まぶたの裏側は、燃えてるみたいに赤い。

子どもたちの声援が、随分と遠くに聞こえる。

このままではいけないような気がする。
こんなに運動しない運動会なんて。

Sports Day

The sky was casually sunny.

There is a ground in front of such a school building,
and there are boys and girls in exercise clothes.

There is no reason to doubt that it is the sports day.

"Everyone is calling. Let's go quickly."
A boy started running.

Fellow classmates chase him.
I was left alone.

Being late alone, I stepped on the ground.
There was a crowd on both sides of the ground.

This side is wearing all the red caps.
Probably it is a group called red group.

The white whitish side of the other side must be a white group.

I sat down on the lawn right next to the red group.
The girls in the form of Bloomers are standing.

A familiar girl speaks to me.
"Where were you before?"

By the way, I wonder where I was.
"Sorry, I cannot remember."

The girl is amazed, has a girlsome disgusted face.
The girls around also came.

"What's wrong?"
"This guy is strange."

"Oh, he was like that."
"That's terrible."

The girls laugh.
Everyone is very cute, I think.

But there is no girl I like the most.
She may be in a white group.

She will not talk to me though.
I will not speak to her, too.

I lie down on the grass in silence.
Looking up at the sky, white clouds float.

I close my eyes as it is.
The back side of the eyelid is red as if it is burning.

The cheering of the children sounds quite far.

I feel like I cannot stay like this,
sports day that does not exercise so much.
