【日記】Princess （完）｜こどもの頃の日記から 28

Princess Sumi's Husband という作文のつづき

Princess Sumi は騎士 Emerald と恋仲にあることを
父 King George に咎められ、Emerald は塔に幽閉された。

On the next day, the King is about to go to a war.
He needs ten million soldiers, and one thousand knights.

But when he finds out that there are only nine hundred and ninety-nine knights, he is very sad.

He says,
"The war must begin at noon! There is one knight missing."
Then he remembered.
He calls the servants and orders,
"Bring Emerald here!"

Soon Emerald comes to the King, dressed in silver armour,
bends down before the King, right hand on his foot, and says,
"I promise, I will do my best, to obey the King and to win the war."

Then they all go to war.
From the window of my room, I throw a kiss to Emerald in silver armour, riding on his white horse named "Snow."

A year goes by, but they do not come back.

Twelve years go by, but still they do not come back.
I cry everyday and become sick. I have nightmares.
I say in my sleep, "Emerald… come back… Emerald…"

In the thirteenth year, one night, I hear a strange noise outside the palace.
I open the window of my room … and I see them!
They are carrying the banners, waving and flourishing.
They are marching to the castle crying, "We won the war!"

I am so happy to hear from the King that I can marry Emerald.
They won the war because Emerald has done something very brave.

So, Emerald and I get married and live happily ever after.

たわいのない fairy-tale の創作だが、
自分を16歳の Princess に想定していて 13年間待つと29歳?!
「30までには結婚したい」と11歳の少女なりに考えていたってこと？

現実の私は24歳で結婚をした。

イケメンの白馬の騎士と。
。。。。ということにしておこう。
