ママたちの国際化　 Global Moms

海外に住んでいた時、現地の人によく助けてもらった。物理的に助けてもらったことも、心理的に助けてもらったことも忘れられない。今は、もう連絡先もわからなくなってしまった人もいるけれど、あの時の思いやりと優しさと友情に本当に救われて、厳しい時も生き延びることができた。今度は、私が日本に暮らす海外の方々をサポートしたい。

When I lived overseas, I was supported by friends and volunteers. I will never forget how thankful I am for helping me physically and mentally. I don't know some of their contacts any more, but I couldn't survive without their consideration, kindness and friendship. Now, it's my turn to start supporting international reisdents Japan.

今、日本には多くの外国人の方が住んでいるが、その中でも特に、日本で子育てや妊娠生活をしている方たちは、外とのつながりを作る機会が日本人でさえ少なくなってしまった今、さらに孤立化を深めているのではないかと思った。初めての子育てや、小さい頃の子育ては家庭内にこもりがちになる。パパたちも話を聞いてはくれるが、ママ特有の悩みを全て理解して答えられるわけではない。ここで、時として助けになるのが、今子育て時代を生き抜いている（大袈裟かな）ママたち同士だ。

Now, there are many international people who live inJapan. Among them, mothers of children and women who are pregnant might be isolated from the social network especially in this time. When taking care of babies and toddlers, moms, not only international moms but also Japanese moms like me, tend to stay at home and difficult tofind someone to talk to about their life. There are only their husbands who can listen, but the husbands do not know everything about how mothers tend to think or worry about. (Of course, they are lovely, trusted, and reliable partners who raise children with moms) You know what I mean. Connection with moms are important to rescue each other and to survive the period of raising small kids from time to time.

何かきっかけを作りたい。日本人（プレ）ママと外国人（プレ）ママをつなげたい。そうすれば、日本で子育てをするのに役立つ情報をお互いに交換することもできる。そう、私はママたちの国際化を進めたい。

I want to create opportunities for both Japanese moms (and mother-to-be) and international moms (and mother-to-be) to get connected so that they can exchange useful information to raise children in Japan. Yes. I want Japanese moms community to be global.

何をどうしたらいいのか、まだ分からないが。これを読んでくださっている方々に伝えることで、まず１歩を踏み出そうと思う。

I do not have any good ideas yet; however, telling you what I wish should be the first big step to make it come true.
