救おうとしないでください

世界すべてを

何か壮大なことも

しようとしないでいいのです

その代わりに、創りだしてください

空いている場所を

あなたの人生という

深い森の中で

それから、そこで待っていて欲しいのです

辛抱強く、

あなた自身の生命という歌が

あなたの両の手の中へと流れ落ちるまで


そして、その歌を認め、出迎えるのです
そうした時にはじめて
自分をどう捧げればよいのかを知ることでしょう
救われるに大いに値するこの世界に

Do not try to save
the whole world
or do anything grandiose.

Instead, create
a clearing
in the dense forest
of your life

and wait there
patiently,
until the song
that is your life
falls into your own cupped hands
and you recognize and greet it.

Only then will you know
how to give yourself to this world
so worthy of rescue.
