舞台 千と千尋の神隠し イギリスでスタンディングオベーション | NHK

The play ``Spirited Away'', which premiered in Japan last year and received great acclaim, began a long run this month at a theater in London's West End, the home of theater.

Kanna Hashimoto and Mone Kamishiraishi play the roles of Chihiro, a girl who wanders into a mysterious world where gods live, and the play is entirely performed in Japanese.

The audience was captivated by the costumes and performances of the characters, who were as unique as the original, and the final curtain call was met with a standing ovation and was very exciting.

According to Toho, which produced the play, it is unusual for a Japanese-language stage play to be performed over a long period of time overseas, but since the play is based on a popular Miyazaki work, approximately 300,000 people are expected to attend the four-month performance. That's it.

海外でも人気の高い宮崎駿監督の映画が原作の舞台「千と千尋の神隠し」の公演がイギリスで開幕しました。

おととし国内で初演され評判を呼んだ舞台「千と千尋の神隠し」は演劇の本場、ロンドンのウエストエンドの劇場で今月から長期の公演が始まりました。

神々が暮らす不思議な世界に迷い込む少女「千尋」の役を橋本環奈さんと上白石萌音さんが務め、舞台はすべて日本語で演じられます。

観客は原作さながらに個性豊かな登場人物のふん装や演技に魅了された様子で、最後のカーテンコールもスタンディングオベーションが起こり、大いに盛り上がっていました。

舞台を製作した東宝によりますと日本語の舞台の海外での長期公演は異例ですが、人気の宮崎作品が原作とあって、4か月にわたる公演でおよそ30万人の観客が来場する見込みだということです。
