時々、「あっこれ好きだな」と一目で好きになるものがある。

フラミニア・ヴェロネージ（ @flaminiaveronesi）の作品はまさにそれで、2-3年前に初めて彼女の作品を見てから、その神話のような世界観が気になって仕方ない。

そんなイタリア生まれのアーティスト・ヴェロネージは、2023春夏コレクションでマルニ（ @marni）とコラボしたことを記念し、ミラノのマルニ旗艦店にて個展を開いている。

その名も「The Hermitcrab’s Wundershell」。

「驚異の部屋」をもじったこの展示では、貝殻を使ったオブジェや彫刻、絵画のほか、もちろん洋服やアクセサリーなどマルニとのコラボ商品も手に取って見ることができる。

鮮やかな色彩で摩訶不思議な彼女の作品を見ていると、まるでゆらゆらと海にいるかのような錯覚を覚える。

特に「驚異の貝殻」は実際に入ることができ、とても奇妙なのだけど、ミルキーなピンク色の壁の色のせいか、不思議と守られている安心感がある。

またそれはある意味、美の女神アフロディテのように貝殻の中に入るという夢を叶えてくれる部屋でもある。

海の生物の衣服であり、身体を守ってくれる家でもある貝殻は、海が生んだ芸術品である。

Artist Flaminia Veronesi is now at home in the Marni world. After translating her mythological illustrations into a multitude of designs created exclusively for the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, she now presents a site-specific solo exhibition in the Marni's Milan flagship store. A space that Flaminia Veronesi inhabits with her imaginative power, creating a dreamlike itinerary, a succession of paintings and sculptures, colours and allegories, which confront us with wonder, igniting imagination and transporting viewers into the magical depth of the seas, face to face with underwater creatures.

アーティスト、フラミニア・ヴェロネシがマルニの世界に登場しました。2023年春夏コレクションのために制作された多数のデザインに神話的なイラストを反映させた後、今度はマルニのミラノ旗艦店でサイトスペシフィックな個展を開催します。フラミニア・ヴェロネシの想像力が宿る空間は、絵画や彫刻、色彩やアレゴリーが次々と現れ、私たちに驚きを与え、想像力を刺激し、見る者を不思議な海の深みへと誘い、水中生物と対面させる、夢のような旅程となるのです。

Entitled THE HERMITCRAB'S WUNDERSHELL, the exhibition is conceived as the wunderkammer of a family of hermit crabs, which collect shells and mythological iconography, divinities who, through their anthropomorphic features and sensational looks, become protagonists of a monumental portrait gallery. A parade of fairy tale or cartoon characters, with hybrid bodies and iridescent complexions, flaunting provocative clothes. But can a dress be inhabited?

貝殻や神話の図像を集めるヤドカリ一家の「不思議な部屋」をイメージした本展は、その擬人化された姿とセンセーショナルなルックスから、巨大なポートレートギャラリーの主人公となる神々が登場します。おとぎ話やアニメのキャラクターが、ハイブリッドな身体と玉虫色の顔色で、挑発的な衣服を身にまとい、パレードを繰り広げます。しかし、ドレスに宿ることができるのだろうか？

Shells are the works of art of the sea.
Hermit crabs inhabit, impersonate and transport them.
In this way, the words of Flaminia Veronesi, drawn on canvas, become an ideal manifesto, a creed in which art has a dual link to the wonderful design of marine nature, the symbolic significance and the enchanting allure of shells. Precious objects, collectibles, but also protective homes for vulnerable squatters such as hermit crabs, crustaceans without a shell, who perpetually reclaim shelter. And among the enveloping and enchanting vortexes and spirals of marine shells, in all shapes and sizes, persistence becomes the conquest of a self-made home, a snug and protective shelter-dress. A vulva, an architecture, a Socratic cave in which to preserve and regenerate, to be reborn infinitely. A real wonder.

貝殻は海の芸術品。
ヤドカリは貝に宿り、貝になりすまし、貝を運ぶ。
このように、キャンバスに描かれたフラミニア・ヴェロネシの言葉は、芸術が海の自然の素晴らしいデザイン、貝殻の象徴的な意義や魅惑的な魅力と二重にリンクする理想的なマニフェスト、信条となるのです。貴重な品物であり、収集品であり、また、殻を持たない甲殻類であるヤドカリのような脆弱な不法占拠者の保護施設でもあり、常に避難場所を求めているのです。そして、あらゆる形や大きさの貝殻が織り成す魅惑的な渦と螺旋の中で、粘り強さは、自分で作った家、ぴったりとした保護服の征服となるのである。膣口、建築物、ソクラテスの洞窟、そこで保存と再生が行われ、無限に生まれ変わるのである。本当に不思議だ。

FLAMINIA VERONESI
After a year on a Foundation Course at Central Saint Martins and a degree from Chelsea University of Arts and Design in London, Flaminia Veronesi returns to Milan in 2020, where she currently lives and works. Her art, which investigates the fantastic, mythology and the world of dreams in a contemporary key, has been included in the context of various group shows in London, Milan, Paris and Zurich. Her most recent solo shows in Milan include "Masculin/ Féminine" (Castiglioni Fine Arts Gallery, 2021), "Garden of Fantasy" (T Magazine at Villa Necchi Campiglio, 2022) and "The Hermitcrab's Wundershell® (Marni Flagship Store,
2023). In 2022 she also collaborated with Marni on the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, as well as contributing to A Magazine

セントラル・セント・マーチンズのファンデーションコースで1年間学び、ロンドンのチェルシー芸術デザイン大学で学位を取得した後、フラミニア・ヴェロネシは2020年にミラノに戻り、現在ここで制作しています。幻想的なもの、神話、夢の世界を現代のキーとして探求する彼女のアートは、ロンドン、ミラノ、パリ、チューリッヒの様々なグループ展の文脈に含まれています。ミラノでの最近の個展は、「Masculin/ Féminine」（Castiglioni Fine Arts Gallery、2021）、「Garden of Fantasy」（T Magazine at Villa Necchi Campiglio、2022）、「The Hermitcrab's Wundershell® 」（Marni Flagship Store,
