11歳の男の子、Bradleyは学校に上手く適応できず、周囲も困っているところにスクールカウンセラーが着任、成長していく物語です。
初めは「何の話？？」と思いながら読んでいましたが、途中グッと感動するところもあり、最後も悪くない終わり方で読了。

英語は平易、１章が凄く短く作られていて読みやすいです。Wonderのようなイメージです。ワンダーほど長くないので読みなれていればサクッと５時間もあれば読めます。Wonderより文章が読みやすいので、ちょっと挫折した人にもお勧め。カジュアルな表現も適度にあって、多読始めたばかりとか長い作品で疲れたときにピッタリでした。
