わたしにとって、2020年は「激動の年」でした。

As for me, 2020 was a "turbulent year."

この年を忘れないため、わたしの記憶に残すため、2020年に起こったニュースを自由気ままに投稿していきます。

In order not to forget this year and to keep it in my memory, I will freely post the news that happened in 2020.

富士山、今夏は閉山

富士山は、コロナウイルスの蔓延を防ぐため、今年の夏は登山者の立ち入りが禁止されます。

Mount Fuji will be closed to climbers this summer in a measure aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus .

日本の最高峰への4つの主要ルートのうち3つを管理している静岡県は、5月18日、今年の公式登山シーズンの道を開くことはないと発表しました。

Shizuoka Prefecture , which manages three of the four major routes to Japan's highest peak , announced May 18 it will not open any of the paths for the official climbing season this year .

通常、毎年7月10日から9月10日まで大勢の登山者山頂に向かい、県は登山者が休憩所や小屋に感染する危険性があると判断した。

Normally , hordes of climbers make their way to the summit of the mountain between July 10 and Sept. 10 each year and the prefecture judged there would be risks of climbers getting infected on the paths or the cabins where they rest .
