＃42 Can I Have This Dance?

「大学時代に一番聞いていた曲は？」
と聞かれたら、すぐに答えるだろう。
ハイスクールミュージカルの
“Can I Have This Dance”だ、と。

この曲は、主人公のトロイがヒロインのガブリエラを
プロムに誘う場面。
お互いに好きだと言うことがわかっていても
改めて誘うのは、勇気いるよなと
思いながら見ていた。

英語の歌詞と動作が一致しているので、
動詞の勉強にもなる。
なんと言っても青春が全面に感じられる。
誘う前に踊るのもいいし、
踊った後に雨に打たれちゃうのもいい。
トロイは、余韻を楽しみたいのだけど、
真面目なガブリエラは、
授業に遅れられない。
走り出すガブリエラを見ている
トロイの切ない表情は素晴らしい。

何より、二人の行きぴったりのダンス。
この曲にどハマりしている時は、
トロイと同じようなシンプルな服と靴を
真似してみたいなと密かに憧れていた。

むぎたの一番好きな歌詞は、これ↓だ。

この前後の歌詞と合わせて聞くと、
ダンスの盛り上がりと共に、
気持ちも盛り上がって、
歌詞も盛り上がっていくのを感じる。
これぞ、青春の歌という感じがする。

気分が下がった時には、
お気に入りの曲を聴いて、
懐かしい頃を思い出したい。
