Inspired by a cat. / 猫にインスパイアされました。

We have a house cat. He is mild mannered, skittish and fickle but is very sweet. He never gets angry or scratches us.

I watch him each day and have come to realise I can learn a lot from him.

A house cat's main focus is eating, sleeping, playing and cuddling. He knows what he wants and will be focused on each activity for just as long as he wants to.

For example, we feed him breakfast at 9am; he only eats as much as he wants and then leaves to food to finish later. 

He will come to us if he wants to cuddle. Once he has had enough he will leave our laps.

He sleeps whenever he wants to and plays whenever he wants as well.

We cannot force him to do anything; although he is trained to wait for his food and he is not allowed on counters or tabletops. He mostly lives his life on his own determination.

I wish I was so clear on what I wanted and could focus my thoughts and energy on achieving that one thing. I suppose there are other factors that humans need to consider that a cat does not. He doesn't pay rent! I have told him to get a job…haha!
