Midjourneyで指輪のデザインをする

私はAIアートを始めたころ、指輪を描くのが好きでした。

当時はまだAIが未熟できれいな絵は描けませんでしたが少しだけ上達したので指輪のデザインを再度試してみたいと思います。

今回は人名をうまく駆使して短いプロンプトを構築したいので、まずは「指輪をかける人名探し」から始めてみたいと思います。

まずはシンプルにプロンプトを入れてみましょう。

これがデフォルトっぽいですね。

この系統の絵が出てきたらちょっとアウトかもしれないです。ただし「デフォルトを作る人名」もあるので「反映していなくてデフォルトが出た人名」と「デフォルトを確実に出す人名」を分けて考えなければ。

とりあえず適当によく使う人名を流し込んでみます。

人物を前面に出さないタイプで、ゴテゴテさせないように工夫してみましょう。

やはりこの人名は組み合わせ次第。やればできる子！というか、普通のワードを入れるとどうしても自然とデザイン的には普通になってしまいますね。

指輪のデザインの課題は「人名を活かしきれるかどうか」だと思います。個性的な人名がちょっとした普通の単語で反映しなくなってしまうんです。

狙ったデザインにならない時はリングではなくブレスレットにしてしまう荒業も。

という感じで世の中にありそうなものは簡単に作ることができます。

以前に比べて「見たことあるな」というようなデザインが多くなってきたような気がします。探したらコレ絶対売ってるんじゃないの？と思うほどそれっぽいのを描いてくるんです。

それは「無難である」と同時に「破綻している画像が作られにくくなっている」というようにも感じられるのです。以前に比べると明らかな失敗画像が本当に減ってきました。

そのかわりAIは冒険しなくなったというか、「ちょっと変だけど何か良い」という画像を描くくらいなら「退屈でもいいから間違いのない絵を描きたい」と思っているような絵を描いてくるんです。

これは「AIの良さ」が失われたような気がしますよ。だってAIは人間にはない発想力が魅力だったはずです。普通の人間が常識にとらわれて考え付かないようなことを「どうですか？」と見せてくれるのが好きでした。

この「上手くなったけど常識的すぎてつまらない」というのは、子供が大人になっていく過程をみるようですね。でもきっとこの先には「素晴らしいデザイン性」を身に着けて人間を驚かせてくれる日が来るのではないかと期待しています。

以前よく描いていたものを現在のプロンプトで再現してみました。構造的にプロンプトが違うので、全く同じようには描けませんでしたがV3時代のプロンプトをV5に置き換える遊びもとても楽しいです。
