冒険家・阿部雅龍 脳腫瘍で手術へ

こんにちは。髙橋こうたです。

私の作品主人公であり友人の冒険家・阿部雅龍ですが、先日 脳腫瘍が見つかり9月7日に手術することになりました。今年 南極冒険にチャレンジ予定でした。

2020年末より彼の冒険動機を探るプロジェクト作品を制作スタートし、現在も進行中ですが、彼との出会いは2006年に遡ります。大学の同級生から始まり、これまで人生の転機といえる場面にはなぜか必ず阿部雅龍がいました。

彼は時々「自分の人生はドラマのよう」と語っていましたが、この筋書きは全く想像していませんでした。もちろん今は心配ではありますが、彼が今後どんな物語を見せてくれるか期待もあります。

My work protagonist and friend, explorer Masatatsu Abe, was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and will undergo surgery on 7 September. He was due to have an Antarctic expedition this year.

I started a project work at the end of 2020 to explore his motives for expedition, which is still ongoing, but I first met him back in 2006. He and I were university classmates, and for some reason, every turning point in my life has always involved him.

He sometimes said that his life was like a drama, but I never imagined this plot. Of course I am worried now, but I also have hopes for what stories he will show us in the future.
