Twelfth Meeting Place
普段東京で活動している私にとって、集会所という言葉はあまり馴染みがありませんでした。震災が起きた時、一時避難ということで葛尾村には誰もいなくなった時期がありました。集会所が本来備えていたはずの避難場所という機能は、人々が村そのものから避難してしまったことで、ただポツンとその平屋建ての外観を置いてけぼりにしながら、従来通りのコミュニティースペースとしての内部から外部へと、本来の特性からズレた形で集会所建築を再顕させたと言えるのかもしれません。また一方で、村内の11箇所の集会所を自らの運転で周回しながら構想した本作品は、30日間の滞在経験そのものが集積しているような場で、私はそれをとりあえず暫定的に12番目の集会所と呼ぶことにしました。
I usually work and live in Tokyo, so I was unfamiliar with the term "meeting place." After the earthquake, there was a temporary evacuation, meaning that, for a time, there were no people in Katsurao. Because the people evacuated the village itself, the meeting place's original function abandoned it, leaving behind only the exterior of a lone, single-storey building. The former community space shifted from the interior to the exterior so that the architecture of the meeting place could be said to have manifested anew in a form that diverged from its original characteristics. This work, which I conceived while driving around the eleven meeting places in the village, is also the site of my real accumulated experiences from my thirty-day residence. As such, I have tentatively titled it the "Twelfth Meeting Place".

1990年東京出身。場所のもつ固有の文脈や既存のイメージを、主に建築的な視点・思考で再解釈し、日常的な観点からは見落とされてしまうような、構造や連環を顕在化させる空間表現を展開する。そこから喚起された認識は、主題の出発点と終着点が時に反転したり並走したりすることによって、複合的な意味や様相を帯びていく。隣接するもの同士の関係性から始まり、その対象を徐々に敷衍させつつ、多様な手法で制作を試みる。 近年の展示に「PARADISE HOUR 2022 Spring」(PARADISE AIR , 千葉、2022)、「みなとメディアミュージアム 2020→2021」(那珂湊 、茨城、2021)

Born in 1990 in Tokyo. I reinterpret the unique contexts and existing images of places mainly from an architectural perspective and thinking, and practice spatial expressions that reveal structures and linkages that are overlooked from a daily perspective. Selected exhibition include PARADISE HOUR 2022 Spring (PARADISE AIR , Chiba Prefecture, 2022), minato media museum 2020-2021 (Nakaminato, Ibaragi Prefecture, 2021).
