I'm sure you all have memories of being angered by imitating the flat palm technique on a super low chair. I think I could not even do a simple arpeggio in the first place.

超低空椅子に手のひらペタンコ奏法を真似て怒られた記憶が皆さんにもあるのではないでしょうか。そもそも簡単なアルペジオすらできなかった気がします。

Well, we don't need to keep talking about this. When you think of the maestro Horowitz, you probably think of these two songs. Yes, Carmen and Sousa. Oh, and by the way, what I've been calling Sousa is "The Stars and Stripes Forever".

まぁ、僕の話は置いといて。巨匠ホロビッツといえば、この2曲が思い出されるのではないでしょうか。そう、カルメンとスーザです。ああ、ちなみに僕がスーザって呼んでしまっているのは”星条旗よ永遠なれ”のことです。

He died when I was 10 years old. So I wasn't able to see him play in person, but I'm glad to see that the video is now available. I would have liked to see "The Stars and Stripes Forever" play if I could.
