Work as a BOOK Store

KAKUODO has many projects such as "Midnight Art Exhibition","Reading Books in the Cake shop"and"On Stage! in Tsukuba".

Even if we do very queer things that are quite far from book stores,we are sure to continue to call us a book store.

what is a Book store?

It must be one of the freest job.

We just focus on making much more opportunities to meet books,and solve the problem leaving from books.

We started from selling books in the free market,but almost all of customers likes books from the first. So even though we didn't sell books,they still like books,and people who don't read books cannot meet books.

We realized it is important How do we meet up books.

Reading Books in the Cake shop.

I thing short of sweets makes people leaving from books.

If the Cake shop suddenly changes to BOOK Cafe,people can enjoy eating and reading.

I carry about 100 books to the cake shop every month,and hold this event.

And collaborated with music major university students,holding cake shop concerts.

Midnight Art Exhibition

After graduated from the University,I came to have no time to go to Museums. When I finish my job,Museums have already closed.and weekend it's so crowded in Museums.

If there would be the Museum that we can go all night,every people(mainly after works salaried workers) can enjoy arts.

Midnight Art Exhibition starts from 9 pm,closes at 5 am.

about 15 art university students,illustrators,photographers,designers exhibit their works 2 days. After customers enjoyed looking at arts,they find out books in the exit.

I hope customers think the meeting up books a kind of fate.

Next goal is

To hold our event in foreign countries.
