Basic Greetings｜基本の挨拶

  1. こんにちは (Konnichiwa) - Hello / Good afternoon

  2. こんばんは (Konbanwa) - Good evening

Entering the Restaurant｜レストランに入る時

  1. すみません、何名様ですか？ (Sumimasen, nanmei-sama desu ka?) - Excuse me, how many people?

  2. 予約しています (Yoyaku shiteimasu) - I have a reservation.

  3. 予約していません (Yoyaku shiteimasen) - I don't have a reservation.

Seating｜席に着く時

  1. 禁煙席をお願いします (Kinenseki o onegaishimasu) - Non-smoking seat, please.

  2. 喫煙席をお願いします (Kitsuenseki o onegaishimasu) - Smoking seat, please.

Ordering｜注文する時

  1. メニューをください (Menyū o kudasai) - Menu, please.

  2. おすすめは何ですか？ (Osusume wa nan desu ka?) - What do you recommend?

  3. これをください (Kore o kudasai) - This one, please.

  4. ビールをください (Bīru o kudasai) - Beer, please.

  5. 水をください (Mizu o kudasai) - Water, please.

  6. お冷をください (Ohiya o kudasai) - Cold water, please.

  7. お会計をお願いします (Okaikei o onegaishimasu) - Check, please.

  8. 別々にお願いします (Betsubetsu ni onegaishimasu) - Separately, please.

Special Requests｜特別なリクエスト

  1. ベジタリアンの料理はありますか？ (Bejitarian no ryōri wa arimasu ka?) - Do you have vegetarian dishes?

  2. アレルギーがあります (Arerugī ga arimasu) - I have allergies.

  3. 辛くしないでください (Karaku shinaide kudasai) - Please make it not spicy.

Other｜その他

  1. トイレはどこですか？ (Toire wa doko desu ka?) - Where is the restroom?

  2. すみません (Sumimasen) - Excuse me (to get attention).

1. 入店時 (Entering the Restaurant)

Staff: いらっしゃいませ (Irasshaimase - Welcome!)
Staff: 何名様ですか？ (Nan-mei sama desu ka? - How many people?)

Customer: 二人です (Futari desu - Two, please.)

Staff: こちらへどうぞ (Kochira e douzo - Please follow me.)

2. 席に着く (Seating)

Staff: メニューをどうぞ (Menu o douzo - Here is the menu.)
Staff: ご注文が決まりましたらお呼びください (Go-chuumon ga kimarimashitara oyobi kudasai - Please call me when you are ready to order.)

3. 注文を取る (Ordering)

Staff: ご注文はお決まりですか？ (Go-chuumon wa okimari desu ka? - Are you ready to order?)

Customer: はい、寿司セットをお願いします (Hai, sushi setto o onegai shimasu - Yes, I'd like to have the sushi set, please.)
Customer: 私は天ぷらセットをお願いします (Watashi wa tempura setto o onegai shimasu - And I'd like the tempura set, please.)

Staff: かしこまりました。お飲み物はいかがですか？ (Kashikomarimashita. O-nomimono wa ikaga desu ka? - Certainly. Would you like anything to drink?)

Customer: はい、水を二つお願いします (Hai, mizu o futatsu onegai shimasu - Yes, two glasses of water, please.)

Staff: かしこまりました (Kashikomarimashita - Got it. Thank you.)

4. 料理を提供する (Serving the Food)

Staff: お待たせいたしました。寿司セットです (O-matase itashimashita. Sushi setto desu - Thank you for waiting. Here is your sushi set.)

Customer: ありがとうございます (Arigatou gozaimasu - Thank you.)

Staff: こちらは天ぷらセットです (Kochira wa tempura setto desu - And here is your tempura set.)

Customer: ありがとうございます (Arigatou gozaimasu - Thank you very much.)

5. 追加の注文 (Additional Orders)

Staff: 他にご注文はございますか？ (Hoka ni go-chuumon wa gozaimasu ka? - Is there anything else you would like?)

Customer: いいえ、今は大丈夫です (Iie, ima wa daijoubu desu - No, that's all for now, thank you.)

6. 支払い時 (Paying the Bill)

Customer: すみません、お会計お願いします (Sumimasen, o-kaikei onegai shimasu - Excuse me, can we have the check, please?)

Staff: かしこまりました。少々お待ちください (Kashikomarimashita. Shou-shou o-machi kudasai - Certainly. One moment, please.)

Staff: お会計は3000円です (O-kaikei wa 3000 en desu - Your total is 3000 yen.)

Customer: どうぞ (Douzo - Here you go.)

Staff: ありがとうございます。良い一日を (Arigatou gozaimasu. Yoi ichinichi o - Thank you very much. Have a great day!)

Customer: ありがとうございます、さようなら (Arigatou gozaimasu, sayounara - Thank you, goodbye!)

7. 帰り際 (Leaving)

Staff: ありがとうございました。またお越しくださいませ (Arigatou gozaimashita. Mata o-koshi kudasaimase - Thank you very much. Please come again.)

Customer: また来ます、ありがとう (Mata kimasu, arigatou - We will, thank you!)
