春の宵は、千金に値する。　【一茶庵稽古追想】 Spring evening is worth a thousand dollars.

ご存じ、清少納言の「枕の草子」は、四季の、それぞれの特徴を一言で表している。
それは、春なら「あけぼの」、夏は「夜」、秋は「夕暮れ」、そして冬は「早朝」というように。
一方、中国では北宋時代の著名な詩人である蘇軾(そしょく)は、春は「夜」としている。春の夜は、ひとときでも千金の値があると思えるほどすばらしい、と「春夜」という詩を残し、それが後世に伝え継がれている。
春の夜は、楽しくもあり、寂しくもある。詩ではもの悲しい季節として、秋もさることながら春の宵は「寂寂」とした情感を醸し出す。
その代表詩が、ご存知の「春夜」である。

As you know, Seishonagon's "The Makuranososhi Book" expresses the characteristics of each of the four seasons in one word. It is "Akebono" in spring, "night" in summer, "dusk" in autumn, and "early morning" in winter.
On the other hand, in China, Su Shi, a famous poet from the Northern Song Dynasty, describes spring as "night." He left behind the poem "Spring Night," which has been passed down to posterity, saying that spring nights are so wonderful that they seem to be worth a thousand dollars.
Spring nights are both fun and lonely. As a sad season in poetry, the evening of spring creates a feeling of "loneliness" as well as autumn. The representative poem is the well-known "Spring Night".

春宵一刻値千金
花有清香月有陰
歌管樓臺聲細細
鞦韆院落夜沈沈

現代訳では、
春の夜は、ひとときでも千金の値があると思えるほどすばらしい
花は清らかに香り、月はおぼろにかすんでいる
歌声や楽器の音が鳴り響いていた楼閣も、今はかすかに聞こえるばかり
ぶらんこのある中庭では、夜が静かにふけてゆく
                                                                                                                           In modern translation, Spring nights are so wonderful that even a moment seems to be worth a thousand dollars The flowers are purely scented and the moon is hazy.
The tower, where the singing voice and the sounds of musical instruments were ringing, can now only be heard faintly. In the courtyard with Swing, the night is quietly indulging

春の夜は、管弦を聴き、花や月を愛でていると寂寂なる感情が湧き出てくる。
それが春の宵の千金なのかもしれない。
そんな想像を巡らしながら、玉露の味を楽しんだ。
                                                                                                                         On spring nights, listening to the orchestra and loving the flowers and the moon creates a feeling of loneliness. It may be a lot of money for spring evening.
I enjoyed the taste of gyokuro while imagining such things.
