Don't be afraid of English. - Dec. 9, 2023.

I've noticed an improvement in my English proficiency. I'm less apprehensive than before when it comes to reading English sentences or books. Two years ago, during my senior year in college, I was reluctant to read them due to the considerable time it took, and I couldn't grasp them accurately and deeply. I had to not only look up the meanings of many words and sentence structures but also assume that I had to comprehend all of them perfectly to quote in my thesis.

Throughout my time in graduate school, I read various types and vast amounts of English books, critiques, and research, which helped me learn new words and grammar. This experience has enhanced my reading skills. Additionally, my mindset has evolved over these two years. I realized that I don't have to understand every detail in critiques and research. It's okay to write my thesis using only references that I can comprehend. I also discovered that there were sentences I could understand well. That's why I don't get frustrated when I can't understand everything. Keep it up! I can do it!
