The Factor of Age in Political Leadership. - Feb. 29, 2024.
The article states that "polls have consistently shown that a majority of Americans are concerned Biden is too old to serve a second term and believe that he has declined cognitively and physically." This raises the question: Is the 81-year-old president capable of fulfilling his role? He appears too old for the job.
On another note, I would like to discuss the age of politicians. Biden is 81, Donald Trump is 77, and Fumio Kishida is 66. An article indicates that the average age of Japanese politicians is higher compared to other countries. While age may not be a significant factor in politics, the president is a symbol of the country. Therefore, we need to consider how the president appears to other countries. A politician who seems vulnerable can cause unease among citizens.
