Falling in love with the works. - Dec. 26, 2023.

Had I not read "Wildlife" by Richard Ford, I wouldn't have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Deciding to switch my research focus for my thesis led to a realization of my identity's evolution. My professor often advises, "Find works you love and delve into them deeply. That's the key to successful thesis writing." Lately, I've truly embraced his words, especially grateful to him for introducing "Wildlife" in class.

Writing my thesis, I've observed a significant change in my identity. Without immersing myself in the process, I might have overlooked this crucial personal transition. Initially, "Wildlife" wasn’t my favorite novel, but re-reading it multiple times captivated me. Engaging deeply with a work is not about instant affection; it’s akin to gradually falling in love. Every new discovery about your beloved deepens your affection. Similarly, each re-reading of a work and uncovering new insights draws you closer to it. It's essentially falling in love with the literature.
