WoodEggお好み焼館・オタフクソース本社工場／WoodEgg Okonomiyaki Museum
お好み焼きソースメーカー・オタフクの企業博物館。本社工場横にあるこちらの博物館では、広島風お好み焼きの歴史や文化を体験できる展示や、お好み焼きづくりのコツを学ぶことができるキッチンフロアがある。
ソースのボトル詰めから出荷までの工程を見れる、工場見学も可能。ミュージアムショップで買えるオタフクソースのオリジナルグッズはおみやげに人気。
広島市の西部にあり、ホテルからは路面電車で約50分ほど。サイトからの事前予約が必要。

WoodEgg Okonomiyaki Museum is the corporate museum of Otafuku—the number one manufacture of Okonomiyaki sauce. Here, the visitors can learn about the cultural history of Okonomiyaki, visit the factory floor, and even learn how to cook Okonomiyaki in the kitchen space. You can also pick up some unique souvenirs in their museum shop. Located in western parts of Hiroshima City, around 50 minutes from the hotel by Hiroden Streetcar. For the factory tour and cooking class, reservation from the company’s website is required.

ひろしま世界遺産航路／Hiroshima World Heritage River Cruise
原爆ドームと宮島を結ぶクルーズライン。川ではゆっくり、海では高速で運行され、川と海から広島の街並、名所を楽しめる。
始発から終点までの所要時間は片道約45分で、広島が誇る2つの世界遺産を結ぶ交通手段として最短コースでもある。もちろん、時間がゆるせば、厳島神社や平和記念公園をゆっくり巡るのがおすすめ。

A river cruise that takes you between the peace memorial and Miyajima. It’s a slow and relaxing cruise over the river parts, but picks up speed once you get out to the Hiroshima bay.
With the cruise taking just 45 minutes, this water route is actually the quickest mode of transport to travel between the two world heritage sites in Hiroshima.

弥山／Mount Misen
宮島にある標高535mの山には、厳島神社と合わせて世界遺産にも登録されている原生林が残る。空海が開山した霊場でもあるため、パワースポットとしても知られている。
山頂近くにある弥山本堂の霊火堂には、806年に空海が修行のために灯した火が1200年以上燃え続けているものとされ、この「消えずの火」は「永遠の愛」を願うカップルにも人気。
麓からはロープウェイか、登山道を上がる。歩いて行く場合は、約2時間かかるので山の装備を忘れずに。山頂には360°のパノラマが楽しめる展望台があり、天気のよい日は瀬戸内海の島々を見ることができる。

Mount Misen is the modest mountain on Miyajima Island standing at 535m. Along with the Itsukushima Shrine, the primeval forest is actually part of the world heritage site. It's also a place where the famous monk Kukai set up a place for meditation, hence it's known as a “power spot.” The fire burning inside the Reikado (“house of holy fire”) near the peak is said to be the same one lit up by the famous monk back in 806 AD. This ever-burning fire is popular among couples praying for eternal love.
From the bottom, you can either take the ropeway or hike to the top. On foot, it takes good 2 hours, so it’s better to have a suitable gear. From the peak you can enjoy the 360° panoramic view, and on a clear day you can see the islands of Seto Inland Sea.

宇品島／Ujina Island
広島市の南端に位置する宇品島は、中心部から少し離れてのんびりとした時間を過ごすのにちょうどいい場所。
島といっても橋で繋がっており、街の中心部からは、路面電車にゆられて30分ほどで行ける。元宇品公園に残る原生林や、海岸沿いの道は散歩に最適で、ここから見える鮮やかな夕日の景色も名物。島へ渡る手前にある、波止場公園周辺にはかつての波止場の雰囲気が残っており、おしゃれなインテリアショップやカフェが並ぶ。

Ujina Island is a great spot to stroll and relax, located on the southern tip of Hiroshima City. The island is connected with the bridge allowing easy access, and there's even a Hiroden Streetcar station where you can access directly from the city center within about 30 minutes. The forest walk through the Motoujina Park is excellent, and the footpaths along the oceanfront is also great, known especially for the great view of the sunset on a clear day. The repurposed old container yard (Ujina Hatoba Park) retains the old seafront scenery with some hip interior shops and cafes to stop by.
