じっと手を見る Staring at my own hands

Lの上に座って、じっと手を見ていました。
Lは座ったり寄りかかったりするのに丁度いいのです。
世界の果てで途方に暮れた時、
Lの上に座って、じっと手を見ていました。
すると後ろからaやm、o、d などがそっと近寄り
あれっと思う暇もなく玉突きのように私はページの外に放り出されていた。
新しいページをしばらく歩いていくと、再び途方に暮れます。
そしたらまたLを見つけて座り、じっと手を見る。

I was staring at my own hands, sitting on L.
L is really nice to sit on or lean against. 
I was staring at my own hands, sitting on L,
when I was at a loss at the end of the world.
Then, such things as a, m, o, d quietly approached from the behind,
and I got thrown into the outside of the page, like I was a billiard ball. 
After I walk for a while on a new page, I'll be at a loss again.
Then I'd find L again, sit on it, and stair at my hands sincerely.
