世界の人口増加はどのような問題を引き起こすのか

現在世界の人口は78億人と報告されています。国際連合の調査によると、2050年には98億人、2100年には112億人に到達すると言われています。

多くの先進国は少子化問題を抱えていますが、発展途上国の国々は人口増加傾向にあります。昨今、中国やインドでは人口増加により経済が著しく発展しています。

世界の人口増加は今後人類にとってどのような問題を引き起こすのか英文で書いてみました。

Agree or disagree: Global overpopulation is a serious threat to the future of humankind

I agree with the idea that global overpopulation is a serious threat to the future of humankind. Today, the population on the planet is 7.8 billion people. According to the United Nations, it will reach 11.2 billion people by 2100. These are the reasons why I agree.

Firstly, people need more energy sources because of the increase of population and rapid economic growth in countries such as China and India. According to research, the world's oil reserves will run out by 2050, natural gas by 2060, and coal by 2090. Therefore, sooner or later, people will suffer from energy shortages unless renewable energy replaces fossil fuels.

Secondly, nowadays, climate change is a huge issue in the world. I think that people are able to live under certain ecosystems. However, the growth of the population in the world causes more air pollution and deforestation, which has escalated climate change these days.

Lastly, it is reported that there is a greater increase of population in developing countries than in advanced countries. This is leading to starvation and water shortages in those countries. Experts say that the population will continue to grow in those countries in the future. As a result, there will be more concerns about hunger and thirst.

In conclusion, for all of the reasons above, I would like to say that global overpopulation will destroy the Earth if people don’t take serious measures.

現在、世界は気候変動、エネルギー枯渇等の問題を抱えています。人口が増加することで空気汚染、森林伐採が加速し気候変動の問題がより深刻になっていく懸念があります。さらに、地球に眠る化石燃料は有限資源であり、このまま使い続けていくと遅かれ早かれ枯渇してしまいます。

人口増加により引き起こされる問題を解決していくためには、再生可能エネルギーへの移行などの対策が早急に必要となると考えます。
