This meme started out as a parody of those who believe in genetic determinism.

Chadは遺伝的に恵まれています。容姿が端麗なおかげで、ずっと社会的に肯定されていて、自信満々です。勝ち組のリア充であることは言うまでもありません。アルファオスで、好きなように振舞います。
Chadは恐ろしいほどモテます。努力せずに、意識ぜずに、女性を落とす。

The Chad is someone who has been genetically blessed. He’s good looking, tall, and muscular. He’s been positively affirmed by society on account of his good looks, and is therefore extremely confident. He doesn’t over-think, he just does what he wants without a second thought. He doesn’t have problems, because nothing bothers him. He’s able to enjoy life to the fullest. The Chad is the symbol of masculinity.
Chad has all the women he could possibly want.

一方、Virginは不幸な星の元に生まれました。“Virgin”とはS3Xしたことない人（童貞・処女）ですが、このmemeには非モテな弱者男性なせいで童貞であることを示します。生まれつきの負け組の属性がありますから決してリア充にはなりません。Chadと異なって姿勢が悪く、虐待を受けた犬のように縮んでいます。世界から孤立したいから、イヤホンやヘッドホンを付けっぱなしにしています。対人関係に不器用のせいで、ソーシャル・サポートがありません。独りぼっちの自己嫌悪の塊です。

The Virgin on the other hand is not genetically blessed. He’s ugly, weak, and has no confidence. He’s depicted wearing headphones because he wants to shut himself off from the world. His posture, in stark contrast to the Chad, is closed— almost that of an abused dog. He is lonely on account of his social awkwardness. His thoughts are always negative. He hates himself.
The Virgin is a literal virgin— he has never experienced any intimacy.

S3XはChadにとっては大したものじゃなく、単なる人生の一つの側面である反面、Virginにとっては高嶺の花です。

S3X isn’t a big deal to Chad, it’s but one minor aspect of his life. The Virgin on the other hand covets sex— he struggles and fails to get the only thing that would make him happy— that which to the Chad is already a given.

ChadとVirginはmemeですが、本当にそういう人がいるんだと信じている人もいます。

The “Chad” and “Virgin” are meme characters, but there are some people who believe in the categories un-ironically.

“Chad”は会話にも使えます。イケメン・ヤリチン・ムキムキな人を示します。

“Chad” can be used in conversation. If you want to describe someone you know who’s good looking, or is popular with girls, or is muscular, etc., then you can say “He’s (such) a Chad.”
