CNN English Express 2023 August
I was able to read the volume 2023 August of CNN English Express by Kindle unlimited. If you have a chance, I recommend you to read this one.
This has special feature of phrases or words for baking sweets. I thought this was interesting for me. It's always difficult to say phrases for cooking in English.
Ex) Line a square tin with parchment paper.
Line A wih B means that you need to put B on A. So you need to put the "cooking sheet" to the tin or mold. Cooking sheet seems to be Japanese English. I thought the word would make sense in English.
There were other list of words or phrases and I had to read carefully to understand them. I remember that I have read a recipe in English in the past and I had to look up most of the words before I cook with it. This was a good chance to review again.
In this volume, there are also other interesting news such as coronation in Great Britain and
G7 Hiroshima Summit. It's good to review the latest news.
I have been studying English with news and this CNN English Express is another good source for me. I'm glad I found this on Kindle unlimited. I will keep on studying with this as well as other news. I probably won't get bored reading this.
