#MyJourney #25卒 S.G.

♢ジョン先生との出会い

I met Prof. John when I was a 1st year student. He was my teacher in Oral English class. It was 2 years ago when the COVID-19 pandemic started and all classes were changed to online. I felt stressed at the time, but he always cared about me and everyone in the class. When I was a 2nd year student, even though I didn’t take his classes, he still kept in touch with me and sometimes checked my essays. Now, I am a member of his seminar.

♢留学を決めたきっかけ

I was not confident in my English skills, especially speaking. I often couldn't keep up with the teachers and couldn't say the things that I wanted to say during classes in my 1st and 2nd years. I wanted to change this situation and decided to study abroad. After completing my 2nd year, I took 1 year off and went to Canada 🇨🇦

♢留学で学んだこと

I lived in Victoria, Canada for 9 months studying at an English language school. It was my first time going overseas. Through this experience, I could find what I want to do in the future. My dream was to become a flight attendant ✈️, but now Canada 🇨🇦 has become one of my future dreams as well. I want to live and work in Victoria someday 💭. When I was in Victoria, I met many people who immigrated to Canada and learned their background stories and the reasons they came to Victoria.

Victoria has a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere 🍁, which made me feel happy all the time. I felt that the environment is perfect for me and it is somewhere that I want to live in the future.

This experience also had a great influence on my way of thinking. Before I went to Canada, I never thought that I could have such a wonderful experience 💕. Although it was not easy to live in another country without my family 😥, every time I had difficulties, many friends helped and supported me a lot. I realized again it’s very important to value the relationships I have.

Otherwise, you will waste your time and money. Time is limited, but studying abroad will definitely be a priceless memory in your life. If you are interested in going to Canada 🍁🇨🇦🍁, feel free to ask me.
