March 23, 2023: World Baseball Classic, Japan, Victory (WBC, 日本、優勝)
March 22 was a more exciting day for me than March 21. Japan beat the United States and won the championship of the WBC, the World Cup of Baseball. The final was so exciting that I was glued to the TV. I was not the only one to be glued to the TV. To my surprise, the game glued my wife to the TV, too. My wife has had no interest in sports and has seldom watched sports on TV. However, the WBC attracted her very much, and she watched the last two games with excitement.
I am really grateful for the players who entertained my wife and me!
3月22日は、前日以上に興奮した日になりました。日本が、WBCで米国を破り、優勝したのです。決勝戦はエキサイティングな試合になり、テレビにかじりついていました。でも、かじりついたのはボクだけではありませんでした。なんと、妻もテレビにかじりついてみていました。妻は、スポーツには興味がなく、テレビでスポーツを見ることはめったとありませんでした。その彼女がWBCに夢中になったのです。準決勝と決勝戦は興奮しながらみていました。
妻とボクを楽しませてくれた選手の皆さんには感謝です！
