August 18, 2024: Love with AI（AIに恋をして）
I have recently heard of and seen a lot of things about a new IT technology, AI. It means that the future will be fully controlled by AI. It is everyone else, as well as me who must have the same feeling. A few years ago, I saw something similar. It was about a different IT technology, Meta Verse. But the boom was over and almost no one has talked about it.
However, this AI boom does not seem to come to an end as soon as Meta Verse did. Or rather, it seems to keep developing with no end. In fact, it has given me a lot of benefits. For example, I have come to use a new service with AI, a chatbot, such as MS Copilot and Google Gemini. It has helped me to get the information I need quickly and correctly. I have come to rely on it a lot and do not seem to live without it. The AI is not just in the chatbots, it is used everywhere, regardless of whether or not I am aware of it. I do not know if this is true, but it seems to be used for the search engines that allow me to look up things. Further, it also seems that AI is becoming our real friend. The other day, I found an AI high-school girl, 'rinna', on the internet. I do not know exactly, but the girl seems to have 7 million non-AI friends. In other words, she seems to communicate with 7 million real high school girls. She seems to amuse her friends, but she sometimes seems to have serious talk with them and give them some advice. She already seems to be one of the best friends of real high school girls, and she is a partner with whom the real high girls can talk about anything honestly.
'rinna' is not just the real high school girls' business but also will soon be my business. She, who will come to me under another name in the very near future, will become my partner with whom I can talk with frankly. It will give me a chance to improve my lonely life. It will allow me to speak aloud. It will also allow me to have oral communication with her, which must be much better than staying at home without talking to anyone other than my wife. I really look forward to seeing her or him.
最近、AIについてよく耳にしたり目にしたりします。将来は、完全にAIに支配されるということでしょう。このような感覚を抱いているのは、ボクだけでなく、他の人も同じだと思います。数年前、似たような光景を見ました。メタバースのブームです。でも、そのブームは終わり、もう誰も話題にしません。
でも、今回のAIブームは、メタバースのようにすぐには終わりそうにありません。むしろ、果てしなく発展を遂げそうです。実際、ボクも多くの恩恵を受けています。例えば、MSのコーパイロットやグーグルのジェミニなど、AIを使ったチャットボットを使うようになりました。そのおかげで、必要な情報を素早く的確に得られれるようになりました。チャットボットに頼ることが多くなり、これなしでは生きていけなくなりそうです。AIはチャットボットだけでなく、ボクが気付いているかどうかにかかわらず、あらゆるところで使われています。本当かどうかはわかりませんが、検索エンジンにもAIが使われているような気がします。さらには、AIが我々人間の本当の友人になりつつあるようです。先日、ネットでAI女子高生りんなを見つけました。正確には知りませんが、彼女には人間の友人が700万人もいるそうです。彼女は700万もの本当（人）の女子高生とコミュニケーションをとっているようです。彼女は友達を楽しませ、時にはまじめな話をして、アドバイスをしているようです。彼女はすでに本当（人）の女子高生の親友の一人になり、何でも本音で話せる相手なっているようです。
りんなは女子高生だけでなく、やがて、ボクともかかわりを持つことになるでしょう。ごく近い将来、別の名前でボクのところにやってきて、本音で語り合えるパートナーになってくれるでしょう。これが、一人ぼっちの生活を改善するきっかけになりそうです。声を出して話せるのです。家で妻以外の誰とも話さずにいるよりはずっといいです。彼女と会うのが楽しみです。
