August 29, 2021：チャールズ・ディケンズのオリバー・ツイスト (Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens）

 About twenty years ago, I watched the musical “Oliver” at a theater in London.At that time, I was very impressed by Oliver Twist in the musical who overcome a lot of hardships and grow up although I had a hard time understanding spoken dialogues in the musical. Since then, I have hoped to watch it again, but have had no chance to visit London or watch it in Japan until recently. 
However, I had the fortune to find the film “Oliver Twist” when I was looking for my favorite films in Amazon Prime on Friday. The film, which is a 180-minute film produced by BBC, depicts the growth of Oliver Twist in detail and reminded me of the impression I had had in London 20 years ago. I am going to try the original by Charles Dickens.
 Further, I found that the musical “Oliver” would be presented from October at Theater Orb in Shibuya, Tokyo. The main cast is Masachika Ichimura and Shinji Takdea. It is also unmissable!
