2021年1月6日(7日)、トランプ支持者の暴徒は連邦議会議事堂を襲撃しました。
前代未聞の事件であり、警官の発砲により死者も発生しました。
そんな中、トランプ大統領は議事堂へのデモ隊の進入について2021年1月8日の会見で言及しました。

I would like to begin by addressing the heinous attack on the united states capitol.
まず、合衆国議事堂への 凶悪な攻撃について述べたいと思います。
Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence lawlessness and mayhem.
