AFL Grand Final

【Day 555】

The AFL grand final was played in Perth tonight.

It is one of the biggest sports events in Australia. I was pretty surprised that the Friday just before the final day is a public holiday in Melbourne, so people based in Melbourne didn’t work.

AFL looks like rugby but the rule is completely different. The field isn’t a rectangle but an oval. They never try, kick the ball so often instead, they can pass the ball to players forward. I need to learn it to enjoy watching it. 

I watched it on TV for the first time but I couldn’t understand what’s going on at all.

Anyway, congrats to Melbourne Demons! They won with more than a double score against Western Bulldogs.
