Getting Tested

【Day 156】

Monday is my day off. And I attempted to go surfing after my kids were off to school.

When I almost got Manly Beach, I got a message from my wife. The school required us to pick up Mihaya because she wasn’t well. And we had to have her get tested of COVID-19.

I went all the way back home and picked her up at the school. She had a little bit runny nose and coughing, she still looked OK. She didn’t have even a slight fever, she was active and she had an appetite. 

The teacher told me she can’t go to school until getting a negative result of the COVID-19 test. I understand the situation that we’re all involved right now, what can you do.

After that, I took MIhaya to Royal North Shore Hospital, where she stayed a few days due to a lung infection 5 months ago.

The line of people waiting for the test was quite long, it reminded me when I go to Tokyo Disney Land. And I saw several students who go to the same school as MIhaya. 

We waited for about 1 hour to get tested, and we have to wait for up to 3 days until getting a result.

By the way, when we were waiting for the bus on the way to the hospital, we witnessed a car accident. An old lady who walked like a snail was crossing a road. And an SUV that a woman drove stopped to have her walked safely. the car that a man drove behind her didn’t notice it and hit the car in front of him.

I was surprised that the snail lady didn't care about the accident at all. Not only me but also the other witnesses. A woman who was one of the witnesses  talked to me like, ”That’s so silly!” She was quite angry at the snail lady. 

I felt like both ladies were really Aussies.
