Looked Completely Normal

【Day 470】

As I mentioned yesterday, I woke up early and went surfing at Manly this morning.

When I hit the road, I was a bit surprised as there were many cars there even though it was before dawn.

When I arrived at the beach, I was surprised even more. What made me surprised was the number of people exercising out there.

The restriction limited the number of people in each group up to ten, and I saw the lawn square in front of the beach packed with so many groups that had ten people each.

It was the same in the water.

There were even more surfers out there than usual even though it’s still weekday.

They might not have had to go to offices during the lockdown.

The waves were relatively big like shoulder-high to 3-foot-overhead, however, those were too wide and fast. Additionally, with packed with people conditions, I could catch only less than ten waves.

Especially early in the morning when shops weren’t open, everything looked completely normal because everyone at Manly always exercises.

I wondered if the lockdown really works...
