The Expiry Date Coming

【Day 518】

I went to the Consulate General of Japan in the city to apply for updating Minori's passport.

It felt like a ghost town in the city. There were very few people walking out there. 

I had an appointment to apply, so it took only 10 minutes to finish everything. That’s so easy.

At that time, suddenly I remembered that my Japanese driver’s license will be expired in this November, and the border hasn’t seemed to be opened by then. So I asked the staff if I could apply for updating my Japanese driver’s license there.

However, it turned out that they couldn’t update it and told me that I should ask for the driver’s license renewal center.

After coming back home, I googled about it, but I couldn’t find a clear answer to my situation that I’m living outside Japan and it seems like I won't be able to go back to Japan when I need to renew my driver’s license.

What should I do about it?

I will make a telephone call to the driver’s license renewal center soon.
