【Day 502】

Natsumo has just turned 14 years today.

Due to the lockdown, we couldn’t go outside for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Instead of going fancy restaurant, I went to the Japanese grocery store and bought very expensive Japanese rice, seaweed, and sashimi.

Yes, we held a hand-rolled sushi party for Natsumo.

It’s been over one year since we left Japan, so high-quality Japanese rice could be the feast itself for her.

I gave her a long skateboard as a birthday present.

I remembered that I gave her a soft-top surfboard 7 years ago, but she didn’t keep surfing.

I hope she keeps skateboarding until she becomes to be able to dance on it.

The funny thing was that Natsumo was quite happy and she played the guitar and sang the birthday song to celebrate herself.

The guitar was given as a birthday present last year. She has much improved her play since day one, so she would improve to skateboard.
