Earth Tremor

【Day 552】

I saw my college based in Melbourne texted "Anyone else feels that earth tremor?" when I started my work this morning. 

I didn’t know the word "earth tremor", so I checked it and was quite surprised. It turned out to be an earthquake.

I was surprised because I had thought that there were no earthquakes in Australia different from Japan.

And it wasn’t so small.

I saw the building in the town collapsed due to the earthquake. It was a sort of shocking phenomenon for me.

I heard that quite a big earthquake called Nankai Trough Earthquake would happen in Japan near future like in 10 to 15 years. But now we live in Australia, so I had thought we would be safe as long as we stay here.

I googled about past earthquakes in Australia. I learned that there was a quite big one in Newcastle in 1989 and 13 people died.

It’s still rare. That being said, I think I can’t be relieved anymore.
