One In, One Out

【Day 539】

My wife asked me that I would be happy or not if she gave me Airpods as a birthday present when we were having lunch.

I thought that was the biggest opportunity to tell her about my biggest wish and I did it.

I mean, what I want the most is the right of buying a new surfboard by myself. I never say I want a new surfboard itself.

Actually, I told her the same thing before, but at that time, she didn’t seem to accept it because she was concerned about many of my boards that are stocked in Japan.

This time, she wanted to make sure that the number of my boards aren’t increased. She said like "One in, one out. That’s the condition."

Of course, I can manage it, I told her so.

Since then, I’m really struggling with deciding which board I should buy.

That’s a sort of happy struggle.

I’m in the mood of buying a twin fin this time.

There are two boards in my mind right now.

The one is Kuma Fish by Kuma Surfboard from Gold Coast.

The shaper is a Japanese guy and Kuma Fish won the award of Mick Fanning's Global Shapers Challenge.

The other is Hypt Krypt Twin by Hayden Shapes from Sydney Northern Beaches.

Hypt Krypt is one of the most popular boards in Sydney. Everyone said it was a great board. Hypt Krypt Twin is a board that inherits the concept.

I’m living in Sydney, so I have been thinking of buying Hayden Shapes someday since I moved here but Kuma fish looks too good to ignore. My brain has seemed to be burned because I have been worried too much. But I think this kind of moment is the most exciting part of buying something that you really want.
