When I regret anything I take action immediately. I've always made it a point to do something about that regret the next day since my student days.

Tell us about your overseas experience

During middle school and high school I didn't really have much exposure to anything overseas outside of my English classes. My hometown is in Nagoya and I went to university in Kyoto. When I was 19, I was stopped by a Chinese female tourist in Kyoto who asked me where Kiyomizu Temple is. I couldn't quite understand her and I couldn't communicate what I wanted to say. That incident really motivated me to study English. I think that was when my
interest in overseas was really piqued.
