大谷翔平選手を応援しながら英会話：ホームラン競争に参加した初の日本人＆投手

日本人初そしてMLB史上初の投手のホームラン競争(Home run derby)の出場。歴史的シーンでしたね。現在ホームラン王の大谷選手は一番最後にコールされました。感動的でした。

１回戦敗退でしたが見どころはいろいろありましたね。大谷選手は最初の１分は大きく出遅れましたがその後ホームランを量産しSOTO選手(写真右)と互角の勝負。最初の３分＋1分(ボーナス)、１分の延長でも勝負がつかず、最後３スイング勝負。ここでSOTO選手が３スイングで３本スタンドに放り込むという脅威の勝負強さを見せて大谷選手もThe End。大いに盛り上がったのではないでしょうか？SOTO選手も大谷選手に負けず劣らず笑顔が爽やかな好青年でした。

今日はそんなhomerun derbyのオープンニングの大谷選手の下記の紹介動画から英語を拾ってみました。
