dudes will go to Japan once and talk about it for the rest of their lives pic.twitter.com/Ja5Drrsl4i

I'll admit I am in that category. Nature is gorgeous once you leave the big cities, and it is not something I have found elsewhere. That and the culture, the safety, the food... hard to beat
— Jeremy Horn (@HeyJeremyHorn) May 28, 2024
Because the people make it actually nice
— Fabian (@ffaebi) May 28, 2024
If you keep going back are you no longer a soyjack?
— fitz (evm/acc) (@FitzYap) May 28, 2024
It’s important to go multiple times :)
— Marlon (@marlongallardo_) May 28, 2024
It’s true.
— Zachary Sisson (@ZacharySisson3) May 28, 2024
Japan is both historic and modern.
— Abhi (@0xAbhiP) May 28, 2024
It’s insanely dope
— Paul (@pllski) May 28, 2024
Japan is really that good though
— Sakamoto (@Dave_Sakamoto) May 29, 2024
Japan lives in everybody's mind rent free 👌
— Apurva3.eth |OC| (@apmishra0398) May 28, 2024
02:lives in everybody's mind rent free
It do be like that. I went in 2019 and still tell people about it in 2024 🤷 pic.twitter.com/tr08QoNxXi
— 👨🚀The Appalachian Astronaut (@AliensExist0) May 28, 2024
I mean ya, have you used a toto toilet?
— Brandon Waselnuk (@BrandonWaselnuk) May 28, 2024
I can shitpost in peace, listening to nature sounds with a hot butt.
It’s a place worth talking about.
— Daniel Stone (@dan5one) May 28, 2024
So true
— GOKU_NFT✖️ (@goku_nft) May 28, 2024
My one hot take from Japan is that the Japanese food is good but usually just OK.
— Nikita Bier (@nikitabier) May 28, 2024
Sushi here is tougher to chew; it’s hard to find soft & buttery fish like albacore or salmon belly. It’s much more common to have stringy white fish and firefly squid. The presentation is…
If you didn’t find good Sushi in Japan you are a moron.
— Bastian Lehmann 🇺🇸 (@Basti) May 28, 2024
I’ve been chewing these fish for a half hour everyday. pic.twitter.com/thb9OGuzQU
— Nikita Bier (@nikitabier) May 28, 2024
why aren't you ordering otoro if you want otoro
— Cole B. (@qizler) May 28, 2024
Shut up man
— Joshua Schoenaker (@JoshSchoen) May 28, 2024
If you’re having to chew sushi, you’re going to wrong places.
— Misha Govshteyn (@tastybits) May 28, 2024
Yes, there are more cuts with texture, but there is a wild variety of very tender, lean and buttery fish in Japan. https://t.co/buTg5nRJKj
You're clearly going to the wrong places to eat. Bad take.
— joez.eth (@fbjoe) May 28, 2024
my favourite sushi is in japan though so anedoctally my experience has been opposite of yours
— Teng Yan 🥕 (@0xPrismatic) May 28, 2024
You're going to the wrong places. Japanese cuisine is about the food local to that region of Japan. And those dishes normally aren't available outside that region (e.g. Tokyo won't have the same style okonomiyaki as Hiroshima), much less the country.
— Jon Chu (@heyjchu) May 28, 2024
Next time you're there, lmk…
My Onsen hotel meal.
— CanDevDoSomething.sol (@devdosomethings) May 28, 2024
Absolute gas.
It was way more than “just ok” it was the best meal I’ve ever had.
What kinda nerd take is this pic.twitter.com/t89sJVPM7z
Actually fully agree. Also real, everyday Japanese food (washoku/obanzai basically) is like the epitome of "you probably need to grow up with it to actually like it"
— Granite_ (@granite_crypto) May 28, 2024
There were Japanese chefs apprenticing in all the best french kitchens in the 80’s and Italian kitchens in 90’s.
— Misha Govshteyn (@tastybits) May 28, 2024
They mostly all came back, and now best French and Italian cooking is in Japan.
Same with pastry arts and bread. Better than Paris.
It’s just superior food…
The best things in Tokyo are the desserts, alch drinks, coffee, pretty much any Yakiniku and yakitori very specifically from the yakitori alley.
— Alex Friedman 🤠 (@heyalexfriedman) May 28, 2024
Cafe de l'ambre is a really cool coffee spot near Ginza.
Pizzas also huge there if you haven’t had pizza yet
