アメリカの社長が日本法人を視察

ジャックが成田国際空港で飛行機を降りたとき、日本の蒸し暑さを感じた。彼は首と背中にじっとりと汗をかいていた。季節は7月、日本の夏は蒸し暑いことで有名だ。ジャックはTech Industriesのグローバルの代表であり、日本法人の視察に来たのだ。彼は、日本法人の社長である山本ケイタに会った。

ジャックはごくごくと水を飲んだ。ケイタはジャックを待機車に乗せ、埼玉県深谷市の工場へ向かった。

「深谷市は、ネギで有名なんですよ。あと、今度、一万円札の人物が福沢諭吉から渋沢栄一に変わるのですが、渋沢は深谷市出身なんです」

運転中、ケイタは日本のテックインダストリーズの歴史と彼らが直面したいくつかの課題について説明した。

When Jack got off the plane at Narita International Airport, he felt the heat of Japan. He was sweating profusely on his neck and back. The season is July, and Japanese summer is famous for being hot and humid. Jack is the global representative of Tech Industries and has come to inspect the Japanese corporation. He met Keita Yamamoto, the president of the Japanese corporation.

"Welcome to Japan, Jack," said Keita, bowing politely. "nice to see you"

"I'm glad you're here, Keita," Jack replied, holding out his hand for a handshake. "I've been looking forward to this for a long time"

"Jack, mineral water. You must be thirsty."

"Thank you, Keita."

Jack took a gulp of water. Keita put Jack in a waiting car and headed to the factory in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture.

“Fukaya City is famous for green onions. Also, the person on the 10,000 yen note will change from Yukichi Fukuzawa to Eiichi Shibusawa, and Shibusawa is from Fukaya City.”

During the drive, Keita explained the history of Japanese tech industries and some of the challenges they faced.

“When we first opened this factory, we had a hard time finding workers,” he said. Before the training was created, young workers didn't learn their jobs and quit immediately." "At the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, some of the machinery at the factory broke down."

"I can imagine it was hard," said Jack. "But you seem to have succeeded."

"Yes," Keita said with a smile. "Our employees are the hardest working people I have ever met."

When they arrived at the factory, Jack was impressed with the level of automation and efficiency. The workers moved purposefully and quickly, and the machines worked flawlessly. It was impressive that the robots automatically drove and carried the inventory.

"This is very impressive," Jack said. "What is your production plan like?"

Keita said. "We use the production control module of SAP S/4. We execute MRP and make production plans."

After the factory tour, the two moved to a distribution center in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. While walking through the warehouse, Jack witnessed an automated warehouse.

"This technology is great," said Jack. “I can see why Tech Industries is so successful in Japan.”

"Thank you. We use an automated warehouse system from a company called Daifuku," said Keita.

On the way back to the airport, Jack reflected on this visit. He was impressed by Keita's leadership and the dedication of his Tech Industries employees in Japan.

“Keita, you are doing a very good job as the leader of the Japanese corporation,” said Jack. "You and your team are doing a great job and I look forward to the future."

"Thank you, Jack," Keita said.

When they said goodbye at the airport, Jack felt a sense of optimism. He also promised that he would meet at a later date to hear more about Japan's superior factory and warehouse technology.
