#8 The Sun also Shines [PART1. Indonesia] ep.II "Volcano"

The first night in Indonesia.

I stayed in a room for three. In a photo of us checking-in, few parts of our body were unnaturally blurred.

There was a sign on the wall of toilet saying "This room is not afraid of darkness". Shower isn't separated from the room, and it's just like a box without a lid on top. It was just a door and walls of frosted glass with no roof. You need to be careful when you use shower, otherwise you will get beds wet. The beds were one double bed and a single bed on top of that. Yes, it's weird indeed.

As Namekawa plagged an extension cord, it immediately throw a breaker. The electricity never got back. It wasn't a bad start of the first day.

I must explain the assasination plan of Namekawa. This PART1 can't be written well without it.
A protagonist was Nama-dari Hitomi, who is from the same high school as mine. Namekawa's too much arrogance attitude pulled her trigger.

In this country, it seems that people have a sort of fondness toward Japan and Japanese people. It led people to make lines in front of us in a square to take photos with us. He, Namekawa, had his hair dyed at that time, so it made him attractive. That made him too much excited.

Nama-dari's plan was to replace water in bottle with tap water. For Japanese stomach, it causes diarrhea quickly. Its ease of getting and its effect was perfect for the operation, however, it ended up as failure. At an after-travel party, she said that she hasn't given up yet though.

It is quite famous story that the two birthdays went to a hospital.

There is a restaurant called "Volcano", where you can enjoy good grilled chicken, Maroshi's face turned to hell all of sudden, and eventually she became a volcano.

Indonesia gave me surprising gifts. Horse shaped puppet to dance, pen for traditional dying "batique", and another puppet for shadow show "wayang" are quite good souvenirs, but more than anything, the students at the Uni there impressed me deeply.

Their attitude and pure interest toward study are super impressive and astonishing. No matter which faculty they are, anyone spoke English fluently, and the ones from the Japanese faculty in their third year or more spoke so good Japanese that we had no difficulties to communicate each other. Great. This country will get over some countries such as Japan really soon.

After getting back to Japan, I quitted going to the baseball club.
