They want to work flexibly. 

They want to work remotely and to be able to choose their working hours without a pay cut.

Google was heavily criticized 

when it announced that 

it intended to use its pay calculator to implement pay according to proximity to the office. 

It remains to be seen whether companies can support home-based working or believe they can persuade workers to be present in the office when they don’t want to be. 

The future of work can only go forwards.
