Event in Kyoto! October 13,14, 2023
Hello everyone. Autumn has arrived in Japan!
How are you all doing as the seasons change?
On this occasion, I will hold events in Kyoto on October 13th and 14th for international tourists. ( Of course Japan domestic people are also welcome! )
I have performed all over the country Japan, but this is my first time performing in Kyoto.
Whether you are sightseeing in Japan or a resident Japan I would like you to experience a unique performance.

Overview
Experience a sound bath with bowl-shaped musical instruments called "Singing Ring" made by Japanese traditional craft techniques. Singing Ring is one of the few acoustic instruments in the world that emits as many harmonics as can be measured by measuring equipments. Its sound is called "Full Harmonic Overtone”. Enjoy the world of "the one and only" sound that can only be experienced in Japan.
You will experience the beauty and the depth of Japanese sound. In a peaceful Japanese-style room or a temple in Kyoto, an experience filled with delicate and solemn sounds that reflect the spirit of Japan will surely be a lifetime memory of your trip.
In general, a sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. The music doesn’t have a catchy melody or rhythm like you’d experience at a rock concert or symphony but, instead, is a carefully selected wash of instrument with notable resonance and overtones.
What to expect
This event consists of two parts: Sound Bath and Workshop. The first half is a simple explanation and sound bath. The second half is a workshop. The time required will be two hours(Sound Bath: 1h, Workshop: 1h).
During sound bathing, you will basically sleep on your back, but please accept it in your free position, such as face down or sitting. Use this event as a break to take away the fatigue of your trip or as a meditation experience.
After sound bathing, we will have a workshop where you can share your experience, try playing the Singing Ring, and have interesting experiments with instruments. Enjoy the world of "the one and only" sounds that can only be experienced in Japan.
Healing effects
From ancient times, we know that sound produces a healing effect on people’s minds and there is a history of it being used as a medical tool.
One of these methodologies is sound bathing, where a state of deep relaxation is can be achieved. This method balances the distorted frequencies in your body. Additionally, it is said by participants that knots built up in the body due to various stresses are loosened. Not only the body, but the mind and soul may be deeply healed.
You will experience the deep relaxation from sound bathing. It balances the distorted frequency in your body to the normal rhythm we originally have and is thought to loosen and drain the knots and clogs built up due to various stresses. Not only the body but the mind and soul may be deeply healed.
When you are immersed and resonate with the harmonic overtones and vibration of Singing Ring, the dissonance of your body and mind will be tuned into their original state and bring back this balance.

15 minutes’ walk west along Shiokoji-dori from the central exit of Kyoto Station(JR/Subway/Kintetsu).

From JR Kyoto Station, take Kyoto City Bus 206 bound for Daitokuji/Kitaoji Bus Terminal (approximately 25 minutes from Karasuma Exit A3 stop), get off at Senbon Izumi, and walk 3 minutes.
*Please note that if you take Route 206 in the opposite direction (bound for Higashiyama), it will take more than 2 hours to make the long detour.
