退職のご挨拶 [Jpn / Eng]

私、スズキコウタは、2024年10月末をもって、約12年間勤めてきたNPO法人グリーンズを退職することにしました。

音楽に関することしか職務経験がなかった私を育ててくれた歴代の同僚、クライアントやパートナー団体のみなさま、そして記事や講義を楽しんでいただけた方々に、この場を通じて感謝申し上げます。

12年間は長いようであっという間で、3人の編集長のもとで働きましたが、社会の流れを注視しながらさまざまな企画をつくってきたことは、この上ない経験でした。

メディアとしても入社当時は12万人前後の推移だったのが、最高で42万のUUを記録し、その成長拡大の一端を担えたのも光栄なことです。また「作文の教室」などを通じて、登壇や講義やファシリテーションの仕事ができたこと、それらの事業化を成功できたことも嬉しい成果でした。

一方プライベートでは、この期間に祖父母と父と愛犬を失い、新しい犬を迎え、弟が結婚して家族をつくり、一方で住宅ローンを背負ってマンションを建てるなど、かなり変化とプレッシャーの多い時期でした。

そして気づけば消費税は5%から10％になり、1ドル100円前後だったのが150円を超える現在。すっかり2012年当時がとても古い過去のように思うのですが、それだけ新しいことに邁進してきた証と考えることにしています。

退職後のことはまだ構想中でして、編集者の道を継続するか、増えている講師・まちづくり事業にシフトするか、さまざまな可能性をテーブルに並べているところです。

I have decided to retire from the Nonprofit Organization: Greenz at the end of October 2024. I have worked for the NPO about 12 years.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my past colleagues, clients and partner organizations who gave me a lot of knowledges and opportunities. It was such a big honor for me.

The 12 years seemed long but passed in the blink of an eye. I worked under three editors-in-chief, but it was an amazing experience to create various projects while keeping a close eye on social trends. As a media company, the number of users was around 120,000 when I joined the company, but it has reached a peak of 420,000 UU, and I am honored to have been a part of that growth. I was also happy to be able to give speeches, lectures, and facilitate work through "writing classes" and other events, and to have been able to successfully commercialize these. The class project is one of the biggest achievement of me.

On the other hand, in my personal life, during this period, I lost my grandparents, my father, and my beloved dog. Got a new dog, my younger brother got married and now he has own family. At the same time, our family built an apartment which still needs a lot of money. So it was a time of considerable change and pressure. 2012 seems like a long time ago, but I think of it as proof that I have been striving for new things.

I am still planning what I will do after I retire. I put various possibilities on the table, such as continuing my career as an editor or shifting to the growing number of lectures and urban development projects. If you have any expectations for me. or if you know a certain company which I may be able to co-create, please let me know.
