Tuesday, January 2, 2024: An Old Friend of Mine.

The weather is sunny today and warm, but my heart is heavy with sadness due to the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the Noto Peninsula and the Sea of Japan coastal areas. 
The affected areas are facing tragic situation.... It deeply pains my heart to think about those who have lost their everyday lives.

In the landslide disaster that occurred in Hiroshima City in August of the 2014, I cooperated with an elderly person who had come to assist from Hokuriku, and we hugged when before parting ways. At that time, I was a sophomore in high school in Hiroshima City.

I am worried about his safety, and I don't have a means of contacting him.  
Now I am deeply contemplating what I can do in return this time…
