新学期が始まりましたね。それでは９月の英会話も張り切っていきましょう！

September 1st - Emma M Nutt Day
９月１日はEmma Nuttさんの日（アメリカ）。Emma さんは世界で初めての女性電話交換手です。電話に関する会話や電話交換手のように、現代では消えてしまった職業について話してみよう。

９月２日は世界ココナッツの日。ココナッツといえば、ココナッツウォーターやココナッツミルク、そしてココナッツオイルなど様々な食べ物や製品に利用されています。

September 3rd - National Bowling Day
９月３日はボウリングの日（アメリカ）。ボウリングの思い出について共有してみよう。ちなみに、bowl: (v) ボウリングをする　です。

September 4th - National Wildlife Day
９月４日は野生動物の日（アメリカ）。あなたが普段どのように野生動物と触れ合う機会を持ち、学んでいるのかを話してみよう。

９月５日は何かに遅れる日。最近、期限や待ち合わせに遅れたエピソードやギリギリまで取りかかりたくないことを思い切って打ち明けてみよう。

September 6h - National Read a Book Day
９月６日は本を読む日（アメリカ）。最近読んだ本や好きな作家についてオススメしよう。

９月７日はビール愛好家の日（アメリカ）。巷では第3のビールやクラフトビール（地ビール）などがブームになっていますよね。

September 8th - International Literacy Day
９月８日は世界識字の日。本を読む日とは違い、識字に関する問題について考える日だそうです。今回は、忙しい日々の中でどのように文字に触れているのかについて発表しよう。

• How do you try to make enough time to enjoy reading in your busy daily life?

September 9th - Wonderful Weirdo Day
９月９日は素晴らしき変人たちの日。Weirdo （ウィアドー）とは英語で風変わりな人や変人という意味。あなたの身の回りのweirdoでも、好きな映画やドラマ、漫画の中にいたweirdoなど紹介してみよう。

• What kind of person do we call weirdo? Any good examples?

• Pick weirdo in a film, tv drama, or cartoon and analyze him/her.

September 10th - National Swap Ideas Day
９月１０日は意見を交換し合う日（アメリカ）。実際にあらゆるテーマについて意見を交換し合ってみましょう。

September 11th - National Make Your Bed Day
９月１１日はベッドを整える（ベッドメーキング）の日（アメリカ）。快適な睡眠環境作りのためにどんなこだわりや理想があるのか意見を交換(swap ideas)をしてみよう。

September 12th - National Video Games Day
９月１２日はビデオゲームの日（アメリカ）。子供の頃に好きだったゲームや最近、人気のゲームについて話してみよう。

September 13th - Defy Superstition Day
９月１３日は迷信に逆らう日。あなたの住んでいる国や地域で信じられている迷信（superstition)について紹介しよう。

September 14th - National Live Creative Day
９月１４日はクリエイティブに生きる日（アメリカ）。芸術の秋ということで、創造性豊かに過ごしていきましょう。

• What's your plan to spend this fall creatively?

September 15th - National Online Learning Day
９月１５日はオンライン学習の日（アメリカ）。オンライン英語もオンライン学習の一つです。この秋にチャレンジしたい学び（できればオンライン上で）について宣言してみよう。

９月の前半戦はここまで。以前に比べて食べ物に関する記念日が少ない…？と気づいたら、お目が高い！実は食べ物系の記念日を極力避けて（日本で馴染みがなさすぎるので）みました。
