英訳
While birds and fish carry on living
merrily and happily
blessed in the midst of
an infinite affection of cosmos,
human beings only, still now,
continue fighting and killing each other,
although they are called the lord of all creation.
Ah, exceedingly deplorable!

How Fresh and Pure
The first flowers of the season―
How fresh and pure!
This is the most important part of
the deep emotion that I should feel.
How sad my heart feels!
Year in, year out for years up to now
the flowers have come out in bloom,
but I piled grief after grief.
This year too, I am gazing intently
at the first flowers.
