今回は2023年にリリースされた、Busted結成20周年を記念して行われたNeck Deepとのコラボ曲『Meet You There 2.0』について。

Busted x Neck Deep『Meet You There 2.0』

『Meet You There 2.0』は2023年にリリースされた、Neck Deepとのコラボ曲です。
2023年はBusted結成20周年にあたる年でして、これを記念したコラボシングルのシリーズを進行中でした。
第1弾はSimple Planと『Looser Kid 2.0』をリリース、そして第2弾が今回のNeck Deepとの『Meet You There 2.0』です。
そして第3弾は昨日紹介したHansonとの『MMMBop 2.0』でした。

原曲の『Meet You There』は本当に名曲でして、2枚目のアルバムである『A Present for Everyone』に収録されていました。
原曲の時点で非常に完成度が高くて最高だったのですが、再結成後に再び歌ったバージョンもしっとりとしていて最高の出来でした。

そして今回の『Meet You There 2.0』はこれまでと全く違うアレンジとなっていました。
オリジナルと大きく異なるロックなアレンジとなっており、ギターのサウンドが素晴らしいものとなっています。
それでいて間奏のピアノはオリジナルのメロディーそのままなのがまた最高ですね。
1年前に初めて聴いてからもう虜になっていました。

ベストアルバムにも『Hits Version』として収録されていましたし、このアレンジでライブも演奏しているそうです。
元々好きな曲でしたが、このアレンジが最高すぎてもっと大好きになりました。

こんな感じで、BustedとNeck Deepのコラボ曲である『Meet You There 2.0』の紹介でした。
原曲のアコースティックなアレンジも最高にいいのですが、今回のアレンジはかなりロックで非常に好みなものでした。
元々が素晴らしすぎる楽曲でしたが、オリジナルとは全く違うこのアレンジが最高すぎてより大好きになりましたね。
